Hey, I got a deal for 2004 Oldsmobile Alero (160000 miles). Is it a good thing to get this car? I thought it will cost extra for repairs, maintenance, and long-distance drives may not be possible. I am looking for expert advice, so I can move forward with the deal. Thanks Mary

The vehicle's value will depend on what condition it is in. Since the vehicle is considered to have "high mileage", you will do best to have a pre-purchase inspection done by a qualified technician. They will look at the most commonly worn components, and let you know what work you may be looking at in the near future. With so many miles on the vehicle, you can expect major components to start needing more maintenance.

A vehicle crash report will also help you determine if this vehicle has had any major damage to it, which may also lead to premature issues.

Without this further information, there is no way to advise you on how to proceed with the sale. Look for an Certified Female Friendly service center near you for more help with an inspection and advice on the sale.
